Mid-East Spring National Show

The Mid-East Spring National in Columbus, Ohio, kicked off with the heifer and dry cow show on March 31. Judge Dean Dohle of Missouri, had his work cut out for him sorting through the large and high-quality heifer classes.

Sorting themselves to the top to contend for the Junior Champion honors of the Junior Show was the Fall Yearling owned by Korey Oechsle and Allison & Mallory Scott of Van Wert, Ohio. The silky black heifer, Scratchwell Ladd Rockin is a Ladd P daughter.

Kris and Kyle Ackley and Garret Havens took the Reserve Junior Champion honors of the Junior Show with the winning Summer Yearling, Brookview Arch Riv Polar Pop, a daughter of Arch Rival.

Taking the open show top honors was the deep-ribbed, beautiful winning Winter Yearling, Ludwigs-DG DRM Everlast-ET. A Doorman daughter, she is owned by Legendholm Holsteins, Fithian, Illinois. The Reserve Junior Champion was Quietcove Holstein's silky Spring Yearling, Quietcove Foxys Lollipop sired by Arch Rival.
