Judge Sean Johnson of Glenville, PA placed an outstanding group of Milking Shorthorn heifers during today's heifer show. Junior Champion honors went to the fancy fall calf that topped the Spring for Colors sale for Milking Shorthorns. Owned by Vail, Hillpoint and Borba, Hard Core Premium Fire Maid EXP was hard to beat today. Reserve Junior Champion honors went to the first-place Spring Yearling, Spungold-R Poppys Pearl ET owned by Bieron & Bendig. Honorable Mention honors went to the very dairy first-place spring calf owned by Halpin Farms, Halpins Ellanie, also the best bred and owned heifer winner. Following are some shots from today's show. Judge Johnson finished the Milking Shorthorn Show on Wednesday morning naming Kuszmar Megadeth Poppy the Jr. 3-Year-Old and Intermediate Champion Grand of the show for the Kuszlyks of New York. Reserve honors went to the first 5-Year-Old and Senior champion, R-Generation Othellos Lust-EXP for the Kennedy's of Pennsylvania.
