Blue Halter Spectacular - 35th Edition

You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for a cow sale and it showed as the Guernsey enthusiasts came from all over to view the tremendous line up of sale cattle in Bedford, Pennsylvania on April 26. It was a packed house. The sale started off with a bang as the gavel dropped on the first animal in the ring at $10,000. Prices remained strong throughout the day as 57 live animals went through the ring for an average of $3,855.
Lot 1, Four Winds DC Charisma-ET, a September 28, 2013 calf sired by Mentor
and out of the 95-point Destiny Child was consigned by the Vilters of Hartland, Wisconsin
and sold for $10,000 to start the sale. The buyer was Kyle Bonivita.

It was a packed house with buyers from Ohio, Texas, Canada,
New York, New Hampshire and more!
It was a beautiful day and even the kids had fun making friends, renewing friendships and
playing some heavy duty Red Light/Green Light outside the sale barn.

Maplehurst YB Mercy, a Yogibear from a VG Misson was consigned by Ken & Chris Forster
of Lynden, Ontario, Canada. The first place Senior Two-Year-Old at the 2013 Canadian
National Show was purchased by Springhill Farm for $8,300.
Topping the sale was Sniders Super Lux Andee selling fresh and open and looking fine! Consigned
by Snider Homestead, this Super Lux daughter is backed by a Very Good dam and 93-point grandam.
She was purchased by Melinda Rushing of Oklahoma for $13,700. Pictured with the Gables is Jim Trotter,
PA GBA, Cassie Musser, the 2014 PA Guernsey Princess, Blaine Crosser, sale staff and in the box,
Mike Weimer who cried the sale.
