Several options were available for those already in Washington on Tuesday and not watching Junior competitions. One was a Southern Farm Tour. Thanks to the folks at Claquato and Portman Farms for opening up their facilities and hosting the tour attendees.

The final tour stop was Markwell Holsteins. Although the VanMersbergens no longer milk they hosted tour goers with locally made ice cream and raspberries. The also gave a demonstration on raspberry picking from their 100 acres. Local breeders from around the region brought in a few cows to showcase from area farms.
